Curio is not your traditional enrichment school, and accordingly, we are looking for teachers who do not merely have qualifications to teach, but also the zeal to coach a student to succeed for life.
We call ourselves Curio Coaches, and we look for people who bring vigour to both the classroom and their personal outlook on life; our students are preparing for a brave new world, and we are looking for inspiring and inspired individuals who adapt well to the myriad changes and innovations in the world today, while at the same time, mindful that the art of instruction is rooted in and developed over thousands of years of pedagogical experience.
Subjects offered at Curio so far consist of all subjects offered under the umbrella of the Ministry of Education Singapore for Secondary and JC education, inclusive of the O Level, IP and IB programmes.
Requirements
A Curio Coach is…
- An Educator first and foremost; you must truly enjoy teaching
- Educated in more than one sense of the word: You will ideally have a record of both academic and non-academic achievements
- Very comfortable with technology; you will be using Google Classroom and video conferencing software very often
- Possess advanced communication and interpersonal skills that allow you to interact well with both colleagues and students
- Incredibly confident in and knowledgeable about your subject matter; you will be encouraging students to immerse themselves in your subject
